Another one of those very unknown gems on the Prog Death scene. Kinda reminds of Gojira in a few instances for some odd reason and it's atmospheric at times (again new Fallujah isn't a revolution in the genre, get over it). Also, it may seem weird but on very few instances it has a Math-y vibe to it, WHICH should be a plus.

Another fantastic EP from 2011, I actually listened to these guys just recently. Perfect drumming (typical tech death drumming), fast chuggy guitar riffing with noodlies here and there, the bass doing his thing somewhere and the vocals are... well you know what to expect from this type of stuff, although he does these highs that tickles me in the right places. If it helps, they are from France which is another country with a very very very flourishing metal scene.

Oh yes, another personal favorite of mine of this "Tech Death(core)" type of stuff. At times, it gives me a "Brain Drill gone Deathcore" type of vibe, but these guys actually aren't technical for the sake of being technical - they can actually write songs! Wow! Wanky guitars, fast metronome drumming and that bass tone is perfect. Unfortunately though, this is ANOTHER band that broke up too soon.

The Last Felony - Too Many Humans

Genre: Technical Death Metal / Deathcore
From: Montreal, Quebec (Canada)
Year: 2010
Quality: 320 Kbps

Track List

1. We Are Future Housing Developments For Maggots
2. Too Many Humans
3. No One Would Notice If You Died
4. Do Not Defend Me
5. Quandary
6. Most Unclean
7. Overrated Existence
8. Televisionary (He Hung Himself In A Public Bathroom Part 1)
9. Water Cooler Suicide (He Hung Himself In A Public Bathroom Part 2)
10. A Cathedral Of Flesh And Fluids (Bonus Track)

Underrated stuff, Canadiancore at its finest. I LOOOOOVE this type of "death metal borderline deathcore" type of stuff and especially if it's Technical, and I feel these guys do a great job playing that style. And another thing I like from this album is (I think I'm the only one who hears it) but there is an evil atmosphere to this album, the guitars at times just sound plain evil and that's always a big plus for me.

Hiroshima Will Burn - To The Weight Of All Things

From: Melbourne, Australia
Year: 2009

4. Laberinto
5. Martyrium
6. Defilement
7. Ad Pondus Omnium
8. The Black Death

I've said it before and I'll say it again; this is definitely one of my favorite "Tech Death" albums ever. Nothing groundbreaking, but it is done so fucking well. Full of noodlies without sounding like a blatant Brain Drill rip-off , groovy parts, breakdowns and soloes; it's just everything I ask for. Unfortunately, this is yet another band that broke up way too soon... oh well.

I normally don't post requests because... well I barely get any requests and the very few that I get, don't really suit my palette, if you know what I mean. This I had to post though, gorgeous stuff. Don't get scared by the "128 Kbps" this sounds better than some 320 Kbps stuff I heard before. This will hit you hard, it's quite technical also but also very atmospheric at times and very soothing, my kind of stuff. Give it a chance, seriously.

A very nice mix of 2 of my favorite genres - Post-Metal and Progressive Death Metal. In my opinion, the vocals could be better; I guess it's fault of the production, not the vocalist. Again surprisingly, has a few (well-done) breakdowns and it's very atmospheric stuff. And bonus points for that awesome album cover art.

If you were disappointed by Opeth's latest effort and expected some of those prog death tunes, then definitely peep this now. It's not as soft and more death metal than Opeth in my opinion, which should be a plus for people who find Opeth boring.

First New Year Post (finally)! This is one of those supergroups with the case of their individual bands being "ok" but united form a badass sound that makes you say:"Faceless who?". I won't say anymore, just check the preview and download it already, it's great shit.
