Well, here's a treat for you guys. A classic Soundtrack of one of the greatest RPGs of all times, in pristine quality and including all 64 songs. And you just don't get 8-Bit - you get bits of Folk, Jazz, Symphony, Semi-Orchestral and even some Traditional Japanese. I mean, a Soundtrack doesn't get better than this, seriously.

Earthbound Papas - Octave Theory

Genre: Progressive Metal / Symphonic / VGM
From: Tokyo, Japan
Year: 2011
Quality: 320 Kbps

Track List

1. Introduction ~Octopus Theory
2. Liberi Fatali (from FINAL FANTASY VIII)
3. Advent: One-Winged Angel (from FINAL FANTASY VII Advent Children)
4. Thread of Fate (from GUINSAGA)
5. Metal Hypnotized
6. Eternity (from BLUE DRAGON)
7. The Forest of a Thousand Years
8. Bo-Kon-Ho-Ko (from LOST ODYSSEY)
9. Homecoming

Nobuo's second band and it's actually on the same vein as The Black Mages. Very symphonic and Guitar-driven but this has vocals; Opera-style of vocals and it isn't only FF covers (and if I'm not mistaken, there are a few original pieces). I still like The Black Mages more, but this stuff is pretty cool as well, I highly suggest this if you liked TBM.

The Black Mages - Discography

Genre: Progressive Metal / VGM / Symphonic
From: Tokyo, Japan
Quality: All in 320 Kbps

 The Black Mages (2003)
The Black Mages II: The Skies Above (2004)
Check A Song: "Hunter's Chance"
(Youtube)

The Black Mages III: Darkness And Sunlight (2008)
Finding I and III are a bitch to find on this quality and II is IMPOSSIBLE (first blog with II on 320 Kbps btw). Features someone you may or may not know, ummm... it's NOBUO MUDDAFOCKIN' UEMATSU!!! In case you don't know who he is, he's probably the most famous Music Composer from Square Enix and from Video Games really. As for the music, this is some hard rocking stuff with a focus on the synths and guitar, but I'd say more synth (so you synth fans get this ASAP). Very proggy and even a bit jazzy in very few instances.
