They went more deep into the dark, swampy realms of Sludge/Doom on this album, more uncompromising, while still keeping that aggressive, dark, gloomy vibe they had on their debut. It`s been getting some great reviews, and for good reason - this is definitely not your typical Sludge/Doom.

Fantastic debut album. Very dark, gloomy and just heavy as fuck. The guitars at time reminds me of the 60's Psychedelic / Jimi Hendrix era, adding it more originality and their own swag.

Their oh, so great debut on, perhaps, my favorite record label - Relapse Records. It's like my broski fsh from TheGenreSmasher said; it's like a mix of Kylesa and Baroness with synths added. Honestly though, I enjoy this more than any album released by those bands and I love them both. The synths at times, add an epic atmosphere to it - it's fucking gorgeous. Get this if you enjoy bands like Mastodon, Kylesa, Baroness etc.

First of all, look at that name and the album cover art; that alone should make you get this haha. If that didn't do it, then take my word that this super heavy sludgecore is what you need if you like your sludge spiced up. I guess this is the second album from 2012 that I'm loving so far (first I guess is new Abominable Putridity).

One-man band from Indiana and by himself managed to do this sick of an EP. More of that dirty rotten sludge I love, while this being (at times) more fast than the usual sludge doom; it's still pretty down-tempo. Really lives up to the name, it's definitely what you expect from a name like "Swamp".
